Ramadan; BI Opens Service to Change New Bill at Monas

Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno appreciates and supports the steps taken by BI through the mobile cash service. “Next year we will improve again, although we want to slowly become non-cash, this is expected by people who have the tradition of giving envelope and alms,” he said, on IRTI field, Monas, Wednesday, May 23.

The money exchange service involving 13 banks provides 14 mobile service vehicles, some of which are automated teller machines (ATMs).

The banks involved are Mandiri, BNI, BRI, BTN, BCA, CIMB Niaga, Bank BJB, Bank Mega and Bank DKI. They serve about 1,000 people per day.

“BI is concerned to distribute decent money to the public, including in Jabodetabek,” BI Deputy Governor Rosmasya Hadi said on Wednesday, May 23.

In total, there are 160 points that serve as the cash service for Bank Indonesia in Jakarta to change the new bill for Eid during Ramadan. “We will also provide cash in the Thousand Islands on May 24-28, Rosmaya said.
