3 Companies Go Public Today

Three companies on Monday, July 9, listed their shares at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The companies are Batavia Prosperindo Trans, Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal, and Jaya Sukses Makmur Sentosa.

The three firms became the IDX’s 24th, 25th, and 26th issuers to go public this year.

IDX’s director for corporate valuation IGD Nyoman Yetna Setia said that with the listing of the three issuers, it is expected that their GCG performances will improve. “We hope investors will be attracted by their shares,” Yetna said here on Monday.

Batavia Prosperindo Trans is listed with the ticker BTPR. Its opening price was Rp170, up 70bps from the offered price of Rp100.

Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal, the subsidiary of Pelindo 2, opened at Rp1,710 or up from the offering price of Rp1,640.

Aloysius Kiik Ro Mulia, the SOE Ministry’s Deputy for Restructuring and Development, said that Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal’s IPO shows the ministry’s commitment to list at least one subsidiary of Pelindo II in the stock market every semester.

“By going public, we hope the companies will perform better,” Aloysius said.
