Just ‘Like That’, Kris Wu Debuts New Single

Pop singer-songwriter and actor Kris Wu released his latest single on May 18, after signing an exclusive international recording agreement with Universal Music Group last month.

The song, Like That, is co-written by Wu and was produced by Atlanta-based record producer and songwriter, FKi 1st, whose collaborations include the likes of rapper, 2 Chainz, and hip-hop trio, Migos.

“Like That has a chill summer time vibe. It feels dreamy and trippy, taking you to another world,” says Wu. “The song is about seeing a beautiful girl across the room and taking a chance on what could happen next.”

He will soon release the accompanying video that will feature Kiwi Victoria’s Secret model, Stella Maxwell. The song is set to appear on Wu’s upcoming debut album, which is slated for release later this year.

Last October, Wu, who was born in Guangzhou, became the first-ever Chinese artist to reach No. 1 on the US iTunes Chart, thanks to his smash hit single Deserve, which featured an appearance by American rapper, Travis Scott.

His other hits include July, 6, B.M. and Juice. If you don’t know his music, you might recognize him from his work as an actor, starring in the DJ Caruso action blockbuster, XxX: Return of Xander Cage and Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

This February, Wu was signed up as an ambassador for the NFL and became the first Chinese artist to perform his songs at Super Bowl Live.
